Misconceptions & Myths

ADHD can be very hard to understand unless you have experienced it or know someone who has.  Here are some common myths we often hear about ADHD and an explanation for each misconception.

What to say to someone with ADHD

These two videos have some good insight into what TO say and what NOT to say to someone who has ADHD.  The author of these videos is VERY PASSIONATE about ADHD - please don't be "turned off" by her passion but try to pay particular attention to the phrases she is sharing.

One last thing about ADHD - it sometimes looks different in girls.  Girls with ADHD often do not get the help needed until they are older because the signs are overlooked.  Check out this video about what it might look like in girls!
